The second half of the opening day featured lightning-fast breakaway runs. With less than two seconds separating the top 25 in the short round, competition was fierce.

Entering the final round in fourth position, Emilee Charlesworth delivered an outstanding performance to claim top honors and a $21,000 payday. Roping three head in an impressive 9.92 seconds, Charlesworth secured the 2025 Charlie 1 Horse Breakaway Roping championship.

The Charlie 1 Horse Breakaway Roping also awarded top youth incentive honors to 17-year-old Audrey Kremer of Wyoming. She won the 18-and-under division with a $1,400 paycheck and an extensive prize package. Roping three head of calves in 11.94 seconds, Kremer and a strong field of young athletes showcased the bright future of breakaway roping.
